Tonight, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of the founding here in Madison of AMI. Two years later in 1979, AMI became NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Nancy Abraham, the founding president of AMI, spoke tonight in front of a crowd of several hundred people at Monona Terrace. She and her son Dylan are a regular presence at NAMI Dane County events.
I was shooting tonight’s event, and Chrisanna turned the camera on me. Yes, I was there, but one photo is enough. Ha ha!
