I was out on Northport Drive tonight taking photos of these lit trees in front of an apartment complex when the word ‘festoon’ came to mind. It felt like the kind of word a 19th-century mariner might use. I knew I had to work it into the photo caption. I like words, and I have a good vocabulary. Do I have the best words? Only a boastful fool would say something like that.
I say, festoon the trees with lights!
