Belleville is a small town south of Madison. It’s out of this world.
This sign is on the southern edge of town. I drove past it thinking I’d photograph the one on the north side of town. I found the sign by Burreson’s Foods, but that one said, “Belleville, Population 2385.” There seems to be some disagreement about how many people live in Belleville, Wisconsin.
I drove all the way back through town, parked by the side of the road, and got my shot. It was an epic journey but a bit slow and plodding… Just like 2001: A Space Odyssey!
Belleville is a pretty town amongst other pretty towns like New Glarus (home of Spotted Cow beer) and Oregon.
