Fall is here, which means NAMIWalks Dane County is coming up!
NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI Dane County is my local chapter. And NAMIWalks is our annual fundraising walk.
NAMI provides education, advocacy, and support. It’s an organization that does a lot of good in our local community.
I have been the event photographer for NAMIWalks Dane County for six years, and I have served on the walk organizing committee for five years.
I first joined NAMI 20 years ago in 2000 when I lived in Iowa City. I served on the NAMI Johnson County and NAMI Iowa boards.
