On Friday, I talked to Mike from Boo Boo Records. Boo Boo Records has been the record shop in San Luis Obispo since 1974, and Mike has been there for much of that. My friends Molly and Daniel sent me a Boo Boo t-shirt some years ago — to remind me of SLO and remind me of them, perhaps — and I order some new shirts every few years. Molly is a winemaker, and Daniel plays banjo professionally. And Friday was Molly’s birthday. So it seems appropriate to rekindle those connections with the Central Coast of California.
