I adopted Luke on Feb 13, 2020, from the Dane County Humane Society. It ended up being a fortuitous decision. A month later – Monday, March 16, 2020 – was my first day working from home. I take Luke for two walks a day, 365 days a year, and that saved me during the pandemic. I had also quit drinking alcohol in Dec 2019 – another fortuitous decision. I still have Luke, I still work remotely, and I still don’t drink. Seemingly simple things make all the difference sometimes.
