Happy Easter!
What you don’t see in this Easter Sunday photo is the work that it took to get to this happy & relaxed image. It’s been a process! First, it took community. I found community at my church, which I first started attending in 2016, and I found community with my volunteer work. Also, it took purpose. I bought my house in Fitchburg in 2019, and I was quite open that I didn’t want to live there alone. I even knew the order things needed to happen: get a dog and then find a partner! It took work. And it has paid off!
Trinity Lutheran Church has been a welcoming place to both Annie and I. It’s where we met. We both love everyone at Trinity. And my volunteer work with NAMI Dane County is meaningful to me. I have raised over $13K for them and have served on their Walk organizing committee. The people I’ve met through that work are all amazing!
So, these smiling faces are the result of a lot of time, effort, and love. I hope your Sunday had a glow too!
